Narrator

Nick Sagan

Beyond his narration work, Nick Sagan is a writer of novels, screenplays, teleplays, comic books, animation episodes and computer games. His credits include the Kirkus-starred post-apocalyptic novel Idlewild, which Neil Gaiman hailed as “a rollercoaster ride of fusion fiction… the kind of book you simply don’t want to stop reading;" several episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Voyager; the Science miniseries Alien Encounters; the award-winning game, Zork Nemesis: The Forbidden Lands; and (with science writers Andy Walker and Mark Frary) Future Proof which assesses “today’s cutting-edge technologies to find where science fiction has become reality.”

Currently based at Ithaca College, Nick narrated the Brilliance Audio editions of Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors: A Search for Who We Are and Murmurs of Earth: The Voyager Interstellar Record. In 1977, Nick’s greeting, “Hello from the children of Planet Earth,” was recorded onto the Voyager Record as a representation of the English language. Launched into space with a collection of images, sounds, music and greetings, the Voyager 1 and 2 spacecraft are the most distant human-made objects in the universe.
